PACE prepared a design report and winning grant application for the failing septic systems in the Woodland Creek Basin. Monitoring and studies identified on-site septic systems as a key contributor to the problem, and installation of public sewers proved to be the best option for improving and maintaining water quality. Based on the information provided and the recommended approach, this grant application was the highest-rated water quality grant in the state for the 2011 funding cycle.
