Clean Water Services added a new power distribution building at their Forest Grove Wastewater Treatment Facility to accommodate electrical distribution and office space for future needs. PACE provided civil engineering services for schematic design/design development, construction documents, and construction administration services. Our scope included site/civil-related demolition plans, grading, and erosion control for the area immediately surrounding the new building, sanitary and storm connections to the existing pump station east of the building, and new water service for the new building based on sizing/demand information provided by the client.
The site design needed to accommodate the building constructed above the 100-year floodplain elevation while coordinating with other active construction projects. Clean Water Services also wanted to make the building and its utility connections as resilient as possible to minimize repairs and downtimes during future earthquakes.
