PACE staff provided design and construction support for approximately 1,000 feet of bike lane and pedestrian improvements along Cherry Valley Road from NE Allen Street southward to NE Bird Street. Phase 2 improvements included a new bike lane, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and walls. The new pathway was cut into a significant slope. 3D design software was used to prepare renderings of design options, allowing the City to visualize the impacts and extent of walls required for the improvements. Other components included WSDOT coordination for SR 203 channelization and LID storm drainage upgrades, including a new rain garden/bioretention facility.
