PACE is participating in a half-diamond interchange that will provide a new on-ramp to northbound I-405 and a new off-ramp from southbound I-405 at Northeast 132nd Street in Kirkland. This project aims to provide an additional access point to I-405, reducing congestion at the Northeast 124th Street and Northeast 160th Street interchanges.
The design features roundabouts at the ramp intersections to improve traffic flow and includes enhanced sidewalks and bicycle lanes along Northeast 132nd Street and nearby streets. Additionally, the project addresses drainage improvements, water quality enhancement, and fish barrier correction, creating over half a mile of new upstream fish habitat.
PACE provides stormwater engineering services, including enhanced runoff treatment, flow control, conveyance, and inspection of existing stormwater systems, as well as managing temporary erosion and sediment control and drainage during construction.
