PACE facilitated the multi-phase development of the Veterans Memorial adjacent to City Hall. Phase I involved adding a sidewalk, seat walls, flag poles, and landscaping around the existing labyrinth. Phase II added a sidewalk connection from SE 162nd Avenue to the labyrinth and a pad for a memorial sculpture. The city received a grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission to develop Phase II and has submitted an additional grant application for Phase III, which will complete the remainder of the park.
Our team provides essential surveying services for site preparation and delivering engineering design and specifications. Additionally, PACE will support the project through the bidding process and construction, ensuring the successful realization of this meaningful community space. The memorial park and linear plaza, designed with sculptural elements for reflection, aim to honor veterans and promote community reflection.
