Sundeleaf Plaza is an urban park adjacent to Lakewood Bay. PACE staff designed a 110-foot-long by 18-foot-tall seawall to retain the new plaza. The project also consisted of additional park structures, including secondary retaining walls, a reinforced masonry fireplace structure, and a timber trellis feature. Sustainable features consisted of configuring the seawall to minimize the impact on the lake’s ecosystem, maximizing the usage of local construction and backfill materials, and utilizing a rain garden for site storm drainage.
