PACE developed preliminary hydraulic designs to correct eight fish passage barriers in Washington State Department of Transportation’s Northwest Region for a fish passage-specific on-call contract. The design process covers all major aspects of stream restoration design, including site hydrology, minimum hydraulic opening, streambed material design, channel complexity feature design, preliminary scour and lateral migration risk, conceptual large-woody material design, and flood risk assessment.
