PACE provided design and construction services for developing a new 313,096SF industrial water-bottling facility located on 18.93 acres of the Canyon Road Industrial Center. The facility features a high-speed manufacturing line; purification, filtration, and disinfection systems; production facilities; several shipping docks/loading bays; and expansive parking. The facility is designed to be operational 365 days a year, 24 hours a day for continuous production and distribution capabilities.
Our services included ALTA and topographic surveying services; easement preparation; design of 4.82 acres of parking, drive court, and loading dock space; design of domestic water and fire services, process water, sewer main, side sewers, and stormwater conveyance and treatment systems; and coordination of power service with Tacoma. This project was part of a 92-acre industrial plat designed and permitted by PACE. Challenges encountered during the project included completing the civil design ahead of the building shell, tenant improvement, and fit-up permit documents on a very rapid schedule. PACE had to work with consultant drawing packages that were in flux and had to react to rapid design changes.
