This project resolved sewer collection system deficiencies, water quality violations, and operational difficulties at Larrabee State Park. Aging infrastructure and water quality improvements spurred the need to upgrade both the collection system and lagoon treatment, as the treatment plant discharges treated effluent into a tributary of the Puget Sound. A membrane bioreactor was integrated into the lagoon, using the primary cell for equalization and the secondary cell for waste-activated sludge storage. PACE provided an engineering report, plans and specifications, and construction management services.
