PACE provided design engineering for the Seattle Public Utilities Water Main Rehabilitation Package 5 project, covering ten project sites throughout the city. Across all ten sites, we designed approximately 6,200 LF of new water mains. Each site involved investigating existing conditions, utility coordination, community outreach, permitting, environmental compliance, developing options and alternatives, preliminary engineering, and development of construction plans, specifications, construction estimates, and supporting documentation. PACE delivered monthly status reports with project logs and schedule updates in accordance with SPU requirements to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Using SPU cost estimating guidelines, our team developed a cost estimate in the 30th percentile of received bids (between 2nd and 3rd of 5 bids received).
